The Adventure of Chaman Sharma (Re-Mix Version)

Note: All the characters appearing in this are absolutely real and are meant to hurt if they do.

It was a lazy day when someone knocked on my door at 8 in the evening. I was watching a movie on my laptop and had no intentions of moving even an inch from my mood. I cursed the person in my heart, but obeying the courtesy of a literate boy I got up and opened the door. I was surprised to see the visitor although logically he was the only one who could have come at that time. Before I could say anything he came rushing in inside and said, “Oye! Hitzi aur Nanda khel rahein hain. Tub bhi join kar le.” I had no words. If you have ever felt like being alone in the hostel with only a few people left and with still someone like Chaman of your year not away, you ought to obey him. I don’t know the place where these rules are written but the kind of persistence he shows while making you start a new game of Age of Empires, you ought to believe that they are indeed written somewhere. So I joined in. and the game began.
It is not rocket science to predict that I lost heavily. What may not be so explicit is the fact that it made my entire team lost as well. It was a funny moment. But the silence of that ecstasy was broken by footsteps. The footsteps that I knew. The footsteps that I feared. The footsteps that was unstoppable. I ran to the door to close it, but it was too late. He had slipped in (you never know when he can get in, he is so small). And the battle was lost. “Yaar! Tere Ghore mere castle ke paas aaye aur tere onagers ne mere ghar tor diye. Aur to aur, mere paladins ne tere heavy camels ka safaya kar diya……” It was enough. My head was aching. I had no choice except accepting all his statements with annoyed yet sincere nods. And it was not over yet. He dragged me out of my room and took to me Hitzi’s room where he again repeated the same lines. I sometimes wonder if he does it deliberately or if he has memorized them so that people can never accuse him of knowing a single thing about Age of Empires. Whatever, all I can say that in spite of wasting all my time in that shit, I could have so many good things, watched a movie; done my EEP201 file, resolve my minor two papers and a lot more. But sometimes you get to learn only by committing the mistake.
Chaman is a sweet boy. But his room always remains hot. I wonder if all this heat is radiated by his body. That can be possible in two cases. One of them is that he is a short tempered boy (which I am sure most will agree) and that actually proves why there is a sharp temperature gradient in the room near my chest height. The other theory can be that he is the hottest boy in the place. That almost seems true, because I see him around girls so many times. But I always wonder why he is always seeing at their head rather than their eyes. Hmmm. Probably trying to figure out the rare possibility of one of them being shorter than him. Whatever! The latest reports indicate that he is yet to find one and the search is rigorously on. Stay tuned for latest updates.
