Important Note: I assume that anyone who has ever visited my blog and glanced through the write-ups would have at least once observed hoe amateurish I am while writing and I admit that whatever I have written till now has been written in no more than 5-10 minutes, even less while thinking. I don’t know why, but I personally think that blog writings have to be spontaneous and anyone who thinks a lot before writing and tries to predict the behavior of the people after writing it, is a big fool and more than that, hollow minded and self obsessed. And the worst thing is the sarcasm one puts in his/her writings, even so when it is aimed at the reader itself. I hope the message is clear to everyone it is intended to go to and even the concerned person never reads it, the satisfaction I am getting while writing these words is immense.
Now, starting with this one; this one based on an experiment. So, this one is dedicated to all my practical courses I have taken till now in life. So here it goes….
AIM
To analyze human nature through implicit and explicit information
APPARATUS
1) An analytical humanity course on performance and human relationships like HUL236
2) An analytical brain
3) A case study (Caution: Highly controversial, it may be you, so think twice before reading further)
THEORY
Whenever a person thinks he is the ultimate stud, he has at that very moment of thought given away to his worst nightmare, which is to become a stupid. No one in this world is the one. Everyone is someone. But does it mean that everyone is common. This will be wrong. So everyone imbibes in himself/herself a small thing, or rather a collection of things that one can associate with oneself. There are numerous examples of such objects. Some of them are ring tone of mobile phones, alarm tones, passwords, ATM pin number, nicknames, blog titles etc.
PROCEDURE
The objects mentioned above can be classified into two categories:
1) Private
2) Public
The private things naturally involve things like passwords, ATM pin numbers. The public things involve ringtones, blog titles, and nicknames. So here goes the analysis.
Passwords are meant to maintain a person’s privacy. They allow a person to have access to have things that are important to him. Moreover, it allows him to keep them secret from others. So what do you think that a person will set his password as? In ancient times (read not so long ago), people used to keep password as what is most important and hence, most easy to remember for anyone. So passwords were usually kept as what one would remember, like a birth date, or name of a dear one, or something that only he/she knows but uses often. But this was a big problem. Hackers came into picture and hacked passwords by guessing important things for the person concerned. And so, people had to employ using words not known or non-existent words as passwords. The concern of this experiment is aimed at analyzing this aspect. Same goes with the ATM pin numbers.
What do you think will a person has his password as? Or given a passwords what can you infer about the person? It is a tough job, but never the less an interesting one. So let us start. Consider the password “iluvferrari”. This is a password one would associate with a Ferrari lover, but you can at the same time you can think exactly the opposite. Or maybe this may not infer anything at all. But just think; what was going in the mind of a person while putting this password? There may be several reasons. Let’s list them. One may have kept it by the influence of immediate surroundings. May be he was watching a car race and saw Ferrari loved it. So he kept it as a password. Or maybe he is a real die hard lover of Ferrari. Or maybe he is cynical and does not feel anything about it. You can only guess. You can go into different directions while exploring the person from the password. It is quite tough for a person to keep an absolutely random password. There is always relevance. In the immediate surrounding case, the person might himself wonder after a long time about the reason of it being his password and might need help to remember it. So it may not at all reveal anything. But such cases are rare. Most people keep common passwords for all places and hence the relevance is present. Same goes with the case of the ATM numbers.
As far as the public objects are concerned, they are accessible by all and hence, there is an element of showing off or conveyance in it. Sometimes, the ring tones are symbols of a person’s favorite music. Maybe they are kept only for being loud and clear. Sometimes they are kept for telling you that the ring tone is good and you should keep it as well. As an audience, when you hear a ring tone, you tend to somehow connect it to the person to whom it is associated with. You may be sometimes, by knowing the persons favorite band or tune and but sometimes, you may just be left bewildering with the kind of ring tones you hear. Sometimes, you may hear jungle book song for a metal music lover and you don’t see any relevance. Then you can assure that such things are done for only to amuse people and grab attention. I personally feel it to be ridiculous, but it works anyhow. Sometimes, the person may not at all have a ring tone, and then you can infer that the person is peace loving and hates showing off, but then you can also think that the person loves secrecy and doesn’t want anyone to know about his calls. Or maybe he wants the people to be left amused when he suddenly leaves the audience to take a call, pretending how busy he is. You see, you can go in all directions.
CONCLUSION
With the given analysis, it can surely be said that in some cases there does exist the relation between these information and the person’s nature but in many cases there ceases to be a relation or even if it does exist, there are too many directions to go to. Moreover, you may never know the given case lies in which category! So, given any case, it is very difficult to actually interpret correctly. So, on a whole this experiment fails.
