The Year of Weddings

It all started in Indore. On 1st July, a large number of us visited Indore, a land of Bewda namkeen and excellent Poha. I was surprised to see that each shop in the market was selling Poha, even more than tea or smokes. Anyways, we stayed at a hotel near the wedding venue, indulged the usual things and were pretty lazy during the time when we should have danced. Instead, we chose to sit and take pictures like below.

Some of us did a bit of dancing as well. This is what we were there for.

The next day, we all crashed into the swimming pool at the venue for some relief from the hot weather.

In the evening, the wedding bells were ringing. Well, it was more of a dhol, but dancing on the highway is the best way to tell that you don't really care, it is your friend's wedding. The groom was really excited, the horse was not.

Took a lot of good clicks, the heat was tough but we still took it on and managed to get on stage after all the relatives were done taking their snaps.

That summed up our trip to the land of Poha. Next stop was Sawai Madhopur. We left on July 20th for a two day trip to the land of tigers. It was really humid. In fact, a large part of our trip was engaged in changing clothes to handle the sweat. The luxurious hotel we stayed in was the saving grace that kept our spirits high, along with the real spirits. It all started with Bisai checking the local traveling options, when we were finding it tough to find a transport to the venue, the royal palace of Nahargarh in Ranthambore.

We met the couple, congratulated them.

Then quickly went on to enjoy the most exquisite Indian vegetarian buffet you would find.
We all went for a late night party to the palace and took a groupie.

Next day we went for the customary pool party in the palace, which quickly escalated to a water polo game between the friends of the groom and everyone else. And the winners were...

We took a jumping photo, inspired from Rang De Basanti.
(It looks like I wasn't jumping, but I did)

In the evening, we got ready with fancy clothes we don't usually wear.

So did Jaithliya. The horse didn't complain this time.

Then we had some amazing food, a lot of fun time, slept and woke up early next morning for our trains to Delhi.

Things moved to Delhi in November, we attended Bansal's engagement.

So, basically we all have come a long way from doing crazy things in our hostels like...

... traveling with carefree attitudes like ...

... to doing amazing bold and progressive photoshoots...

I am the next guy getting married next month to an amazing woman.

Keep you posted. Stay tuned.
Happy Diwali!!
